Materials and Preparation

Instructions

  1. Have a student start the story by reading a story starter card aloud and completing the
    sentence. (e.g. “A little black cat wearing a tiny, pointy orange hat walked up to me
    and…said, ”Well hello there. What’s your name?”)
  2. Another student adds a sentence to develop the story.(i.e. action, new character, setting
    change, plots twist)
  3. This continues until everyone has added their ideas or the story reaches an ending.
  4. Play again! Pick a new card or have students create their own story starter starter cards.
