Celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month: Partnering with Mizzen Education to Inspire Young Innovators

November is National Entrepreneurship Month, and what better way to celebrate than by spotlighting our exciting partnership with Mizzen Education! At VentureLab, we are thrilled to provide three weeks of action-packed resources designed to inspire and equip youth trailblazers in the out-of-school time (OST) space. These resources are tailored for students in grades 1-12, fostering creativity, problem-solving abilities, and resilience.

Our collaboration with Mizzen Education features a variety of engaging collections, starting with the “Intro to Entrepreneurship” series. This series offers lessons for different grade levels, helping students discover what it means to be an entrepreneur, develop key mindsets, and learn how to turn failure into an opportunity for growth. As one afterschool participant noted, “This program helped me gain confidence in my ideas and made me realize that my skills and thinking are valuable for business creation”.

In addition to the foundational series, we also feature the “Creativity and Play” series, inviting 6-12th graders to reconnect with the joy of free expression. These activities empower students to tap into their innate curiosity and imagination—essential ingredients for entrepreneurial thinking. A student reflected, “I loved how it got me thinking of new ideas and inventions to help solve issues”.

The impact of these programs is remarkable. After participating, 92% of students reported an increase in creativity, 91-94% improved upon problem-solving, and another all students demonstrated heightened empathy. These outcomes highlight the core of our mission: to nurture young minds and instill the confidence needed to innovate and lead.

At VentureLab, we are committed to making entrepreneurship education accessible to all youth. As we celebrate National Entrepreneurship Month, we invite you to explore our collections on Mizzen’s Learning Platform and help ignite the spark of innovation in your students. Together, let’s inspire the next generation of young trailblazers and changemakers.
