Spark Mentor

Become a VentureLab Spark Startup Program Mentor and help shape the next generation of innovators and changemakers! The spring cohort mentor application deadline is January 22, 2024. At VentureLab, we believe that entrepreneurship is about more than starting a business: it’s a way of thinking and doing. Through the Spark Startup Mentorship & Materials Program, you will guide a participant (ages 8-18) to grow their entrepreneurial mindset and business idea in the course of a semester (either spring or fall). Mentors must be at least 18 years of age. Mentors receive a stipend of $300 at the end of the program. Spark Mentor Commitment 10-15 hours total in a semester including:

• Attend Mandatory Training Session
• Prep to feel comfortable leading the sessions
• Lead four, 1-hour mentor sessions with a participant
  • Session 1 – Feb 5-9
  • Session 2 – Mar 4-8
  • Session 3 – Apr 1-5
  • Session 4 – Apr 29-May 3
• Facilitate session with an entrepreneur – Apr 8-19
• Meet with the
• VentureLab team for 4 check-ins in between sessions
• Attend the Spark Graduation – May 8 @ 6:00-7:00 pm CST
