VentureLab Appoints Desma Deitz as New Executive Director
Austin, TX – VentureLab’s Board of Directors announced the appointment of Desma Deitz as the organization’s new Executive Director. Deitz assumes the role at a pivotal time of growth, as VentureLab continues to scale its award-winning programming to provide meaningful opportunities for entrepreneurial learning and create the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
Deitz brings a wealth of leadership experience in the social sector, coupled with a strong commitment to youth development, equity, and inclusion. Her extensive operational expertise in program and product development, innovation, and marketing, as well as her proven ability to establish deep, long-term partnerships for social impact, make her the ideal candidate to lead VentureLab as Executive Director.

Deitz holds a master’s degree in nonprofit administration from NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Her most recent roles include Executive Director at Amherst Foundation and Cap City Kids. With over twelve years of experience in leadership positions at organizations such as UNICEF, Girl Scouts, and Marathon Kids, Deitz brings a robust background to VentureLab.
As Executive Director, Deitz will assume responsibility for VentureLab’s daily operations and collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop a strategic roadmap for the organization’s growth and impact. We are confident that under her capable leadership, VentureLab will continue to successfully fulfill its mission of cultivating the next generation of innovators and changemakers.
