VentureLab STL Startup Week 2024

Community Panel: The State of Youth Entrepreneurship in St. Louis

Join us for an enlightening discussion on the current state of youth entrepreneurship in St. Louis as part of STL Startup Week. This community panel will bring together both adults and kids to explore how entrepreneurship, STEM, and ESTEAM (Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) are shaping the future of our youth. With a special focus on empowering girls and underserved students, this conversation aims to highlight the critical role that innovative education, combining entrepreneurship with STEM, can play in transforming lives and building a more inclusive community.

We’ll dive into the opportunities and challenges of K-12 entrepreneurship education, focusing on how integrating entrepreneurship into STEAM empowers  the next generation of innovators. This discussion will highlight real-world insights from young entrepreneurs and experts alike, offering perspectives on how to better support youth in cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, particularly for those who have historically lacked access to these opportunities. Come be part of this vital conversation and help chart the future of youth entrepreneurship in our community.

VentureLab is hosting this event with the help of our local advisory council, which includes representation from STL Youth Jobs, the Missouri AfterSchool Network. Black Girls Do STEM, Harris Stowe State University, True North Nonprofit Strategy, and Mission St. Louis.
